Our Services
Does my roof need to be replaced?
Your roof starts to age the moment the Florida sun hits it. At some point it will need to be replaced. If you notice any of the following signs, you may need repairs or a replacement:
-
interior water damage, especially upstairs or in the attic.
-
current roof has aged: asphalt shingles last 10-20 years in Florida
-
the roof sags - may indicate rotted boards under the shingles
-
decaying, broken, cracked, or otherwise damaged shingles
-
shingles curling or peeling back
-
shingle tabs are cupped
-
bald spots where granules on the shingles are missing
-
missing shingles
-
visible cracks or leaks in your roof
-
wind, hurricane, or hail damage
-
missing flashing, gutter guards, or fascia - these support your roof
-
dark streaks (naturally occurring airborne algae can cause this)
-
moss (especially on surfaces that don't get much sunlight and get moist)
-
moss, mold, or fungi taking over - indicates trapped moisture
-
high cooling bills - leaks allow air to escape
